It’s Always Your Choice

One of life’s greatest joys is learning who you are over and over and over again. It’s almost like each new day we are given the chance to rebrand our image. How cool is that??? A therapist once told me, “Every day when you go out into the world, YOU get to decide who you want to be. This can change daily, but it’s always your choice.”

 I have been a lot of women in my life. To be honest, I didn’t love them all. I didn’t even like some of them; but looking back, I now see how I needed to be these women to learn the lessons I had to learn – the lessons that have made me the woman I am today. And I know there is more to come.

Hence, this new venture of blogging and podcasting. I want to share my experiences with you. From the mistakes I made as a young person to my winding career path and what I am learning as a middle-age newbie in academia, there are lessons we can all learn, and we’ll learn them together – mistakes and all. As I tell my students, there is magic in the mistakes! So we’ll embrace the mistakes in all their magical glory and turn them into wins.
