Pianist and teacher Dr. Christina Mathis began studying piano at the age of 6 and immediately fell in love! Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance from Judson College in Marion, Alabama; a Masters in Music Education from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia; and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Christina has extensive experience as a collaborative pianist in both sacred and classical music and is also an experienced music educator, piano teacher, and composer. She has two books of hymn arrangements and several original compositions published through Piano Pronto Publishing. In addition, she is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Piano through National Federation of Music Clubs.

Dr. Mathis  is Assistant Professor of Piano at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where she oversees the areas of collaborative piano and piano pedagogy and also maintains a thriving studio of both college and pre-college students.
